By
JR Train and Bus
Get off at the Minami (South) Miyazaki Station. Walk across
the street to the Miyako City Bus Terminal/Shopping Center and take any
of the following buses:
Aya, Aya Shusen-no-Mori, or Aya Uwabata.
Look for any bus with the kanji for Aya. The bus ride will take approximately
one hour depending on traffic.
By
Airplane and Bus
From Miyazaki Airport either
1)take the train to Minami (South) Miyazaki Station and then follow the
directions as above or
2)take a bus to Miyako City Bus Terminal/Shopping Center and then transfer
to any of the Aya buses listed above.
The train leaves several minutes after every major arrival and lasts only
five minutes. The bus leaves more often but takes twelve minutes.
By Car
From Seagaia in Miyazaki City
take Route 10 into the city, then take Route 26 through Kunitomi
Town into Aya. From start to finish approximately 50 minutes.
From the Kobayashi Interchange
take Route 268 to Takaoka, then almost immediately after
merging with Route 10 you will emerge from a tunnel and there will be a
log cabin restaurant on your right. At the traffic light directly in front
of this restaurant turn left and follow the sign to Aya. From start to finish
approximately one hour.
From Miyakonojo City take
Route 10 to Takaoka. This is the same road as the road from the Kobayashi
Interchange explained above. Immediately after emerging from a tunnel there
will be a log cabin restaurant on your right. At the traffic light directly
in front of this log cabin turn left. Follow the sign in English to Aya.
